The Green Bird
This 24x48 painting,( 28x52 with frame) is a very graceful LeRav conception. The first thing you notice is the " Ribbon Man", a feature on several LeRav art pieces dating back to his pen and ink phase. The "Ribbon Man" is playing an Alphorn like instrument in a relaxed position seemingly reclined on a mountian. That mountain seems to contradict the view as there is a mountain range below done in contrasting colors. The flock of green birds flying into the eclisped sun seems the obvious objects that the painting derives its title from, but it is really the large bird that is propelling the " Ribbon Man" through the air.
